THE MOST RECENT CAR IN EXHIBIT AT RETROMOBILE 2024
2023 - The Ferrari LMH 499P won Le Mans 24 Hours 2023 with Alessandro Pier Guidi, who shared the number 51 car with James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi, covering 342 laps of the French track. The Maranello manufacturer claimed an historic result on its return to the top class after half a century. |
REVIEW of SOME AUTOMOBILES in EXHIBIT at RETROMOBILE and ARTCURIAL Auction 2024
The 2024 edition of Retromobile was a real success with 130.000 visitors attending this traditional event dedicated to the history of automobile. Several anniversary included 100 years for MG with the support of the British Motor Museum or 60 years for the Mercedes 300SL to name a few. Porsche celebrated the fifty years of its 911 Turbo. The DAKAR Rally Raid was the occasion for a vast presentation of participants vehicles including the 1926 Renault Gazelle entered at the first edition , the Peugeot T406 coupe or the Porsche 959 driven by René Medge. The Audi RS Q e-tron that won the 2024 edition with Carlos Sainz at the wheel was also presented.
Artcurial Automobile Auction organised at Retromobile has completed a total Sale for 17,792,329 Euros or 19,418,780 US Dollars for 375 automobiles coming from 25 collections. A 1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gulwing Coupe was sold for 1,427,440 Euros or 1,529,085 US$ while a 2014 McLaren P1 or a 1980 BMW M1 PROCAR were sold for more than one million Euros each.

1907 FIAT 130 designed by engineer Giovanni Enrico with the support of Carlo Cavalli and Guido Fornaca. The powerfull 130 HP was equipped with a mighty four cylinder, biblock, 16 Liter engine, famous for its overhead valves arranged in a 90° V shape, chain drive, foot brake on the differential. In 1907 three models of this car took part in the Automobile Club de France Grand Prix. Nazzaro won driving the car named F2.
