GM CONCEPT FIREBIRD I 1952

GM Firebird I was the first running prototype and show car to demonstrate General Motors efforts to move to gas turbine powered vehicules. Airplanes had evolved from piston engine to gas turbine and so would the car industry. It appeared in 1952 . Its design recalls fighter aircraft shape with even short wings integrating the rear wheels.
