BMW Concept CS 2007

BMW presented the Concept CS at the Auto Shangai 2007 Motor Show showcasing a new design philosophy; based on a specific platform, this unique car offers a vision of future BMW design rather than the first look at a new product. The BMW Concept CS is a four seat premium vehicule that take sophistication and luxury to a naew level in the shape of a four door coupé.

The BMW Concept CS was created by a team at BMW Design Development in Munich and comes with several exterior and interior design touches that could make their way on future models.

The exterior shapes are based on curves rather than a combination of sharp lines and plane surfaces on existing models while retaining all the tradition of BMW. The body width increases towards the rear to emphasize the sporting pretentions and wide track of the car. the BMW Concept CS is 400 mm wider (1978 mm excluding mirrors) and 67 mm longer (5.106 mm) compared to a standard BMW 7 Series. Its sleek profile hinting at the lower centre of gravity is confirmed by a roof line that, at its zenith, is just 1.367 mm - 124 mm lower than a BMW 7 Series.

Inside , the BMW Concept CS is distinctive for the layered interior surfaces that create a unique interior style. The cockpit is driver oriented consistent with BMW's ethos.
